FAQ NVivo for Mac No 5

I simply send you two sceenshots in the enclosed Word doc. This will explain my concern. I have a long experience with NVivo for Windows so I am prone to compare. I know that in NVivo for PC you can set the nodes to show plain text in certain circumstances. But in the case of Mac it seems as plain text is the only option. I will appreciate your comments. It is easier to read and code a formatted text why it is often preferred to work in the source item rather that in the node.

I appreciate the Undock facility in NVivo for PC because it makes it easy to work with a document, a node or any other open item in full screen mode. The native NVivo screen is so clottered and rather complicated and therefore undock, maximized and zoom are essential for easy and comfortable reading and coding. Is this possible in NVivo for Mac?

I have been using NVivo for PC since the release of NVivo 7 in 2006. I am very pleased with this wonderful software and I have been growing with its new releases through the years. Now I have turned to become a Mac user and I have tried to get familiar with NVivo for Mac. It seems to me that we are taking many steps back reaching about the rudimentary facility level as NVivo 7 had already 2006. What is QSR’s comment on this?
